Fully conforms to AWWA standard C504: |
NSF Certified Fusion Bonded Epoxy coating and EPDM rubber are used for valves to be used for in direct contact with potable (drinking) water while all other components in contact with water being of Stainless Steel. TIPBV butterfly valves fully compliant to AWWA C504 standards. We produce this valves with following end connections to suit varying customer needs. * Our products are tested for Life Cycle tests as set down in AWWA C 504 standards. During these tests bi-directional sealing is tested under different pressure conditions. * Our products are designed and tested to provide reliable performance during their entire service life. Permanently tight closure: | The disc is pressed with a defined constant compression over the entire disc circumference into the elastic body lining. Suitable for vacuum service: |
The replaceable body lining consists of a firm back-up ring onto which the elastic seating material is vulcanized thus creating stability of the seat which prevents deformation of the elastomer during closing. The bond between elastomer and back-up ring is strong enough to enable the valve to be used with high flow rates and for vacuum service. |
Elastic body lining: |
The replaceable body lining consists of a reinforced back-up ring on which the elastic seat material is vulcanized. When mounting the valve between the pipe flanges this stable seat cannot be displaced or pushed out. When the valve closes a stretching and bulging of the elastomer in front of the closing disc is avoided. The fixed connection between elastomer and back-up ring enables the application of the valve even under vacuum or high flow velocities. The slightly protruding sealing lip of the body lining constitutes at the same time the flange seal. |
